Drawing from more than100 years of Jazz standards, popular music, and their own original compositions the shows are magical
As an all women's collaborative, the project takes its name in honor of American Artist Violet Oakley and her "Red Rose Girls" who chose to live and work together in solidarity - focused on their art. We don’t live together, but do love working together and love playing great music written by women! Each exceptional Jazz artists in their own right, The Roses include many outstanding female Jazz musicians, poets, and dancers ~ performing in many creative formations - always interesting, innovative, emotional, and elegant.
Featuring exceptional Jazz musicians our “Celebrate Women!” shows are a great choice for festivals, special concert performances, summer stages, school presentations, and private events.
